If It Ain't Worth A Fuck -
       Fuck Off

Free Tour
Free Tour organised by JB & Kif-Kif of the recently formed Fuck Off Records. A short tour made positively tiny due to the number of cancelled gigs; this was 'documented' by JB in an International Times piece titled 'Going Down The Spermbank' (written on the '23rd March for trivia freaks'), and later by Danny & The Dressmakers with their 3x cassette release on Fuck Off Records 200 Cancellations.

Zounds played Meanwhile Gardens on the 10th; they may have played some others gigs on this tour. I've no evidence that they did but have included the tour as the cancellations are amusing and it gives an idea of the bands that were on 'the bus'. Zeitgeist innit.

ATV were mentioned in the music press as appearing at some of these gigs. They didn't, which made a number of the gruntled that turned up, somewhat disgruntled.

ATV were "erroneously" advertised as playing but didn't; Wilful Damage were scheduled to play but couldn't make it as their car broke down.

Grant Showbiz, hitherto acting as Soundman splits the tour following an over the PA argument with Kif Kif.

Great quote from a chap who I think goes by the moniker PJ Peanutz... " Wow am I glad this tape exists 'cos I was at this gig and it is amazing to find that there is a recording of it (not recorded - 012 and Astronauts). After splitting from Here & Now Kif Kif, Suze and a cast of thousands did a Fuck Off Records free tour. This date was well attended as Alternative TV were advertised as appearing (but did not). Ted Chippington was there as well as Nikki Sudden from Swell Maps. A tape was for sale at the door featuring Wilful Damage, Astronauts, Blank Space etc and the gig was my first exposure to a killer local band called Dangerous Girls. Also on the bill was another local band called Life Support who according to a great new book by John Robb had a future Nightingale in their ranks. The band also supported Here & Now at the same venue when the band played there in late '79. This was also my first exposure to the excellent Astronauts and Mark Astronaut is still gigging now with a band called the Otters. This was my only live experience of the legendary Danny & The Dressmakers who were amazing. Everyone joined on stage for the finale of "Don't Worry Fuck Off!" Suze Da Blooze fresh from Here & Now but pre Androids Of Mu constructed her band each night from people she asked in the audience. She asked myself and a friend if we wanted to be in her band for the night and with a bit of encouragement from Nikki Sudden we agreed. There was Suze on vocals, a hippy on flute, my friend on bass, a hippy on guitar and me on drums. We'd never met each other before and in the case of my friend and myself had never played on a stage before and couldn't even play our instruments! But it was good fun and seemed to go down well and kinda hangs together in a free jazz stylee! This tape proves it wasn't just a dream I had. Kif Kif also released a tape of me and my friends which is rubbish really but we had a go!"

If the aforementioned 'hippy on flute' and 'hippy on guitar' would like to step forward...
